Thailand and Malyasia by Instagram

Despite losing my passport, having a bag stolen, losing a bankcard and being held up by police with machine guns I had a great time in South East Asia!

Volvic Water from France, in Thailand. Reminds me of travelling in France – every time.

Cocktails on a Beach in Ko Pha Ngan. It’s the done thing in Thailand.

Bottles Beach, Koh Pha Ngan. A deserted piece of paradise.

Koh Samui airport is one of the nicest I’ve been too.

Hotel pool in steamy Bangkok.

My new passport, after the losing passport debacle. Absolute debacle.

Trying to fly in tropical lightning storms – Bangkok

Lady boy shows – Koh Samui

Butterfly farm – Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

Cameron Highlands tea plantations – Malaysia

A jungle hike to see a Rafflesia.

The towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Recent Overseas Purchases

I do like to shop… and I do like to travel, so shopping while travelling is a win win situation for me. Especially when amazing bargains can be found.

The only dilemma is carrying what you buy. My bags get so stuffed it is impossible to carry them! Oh and if you have the unfortunate debacle of having a backpack stolen. True story for another day.

This trip I was savvy and sent a box of shopping home from the US, since I still had to backpack my way around South East Asia.

Here are some of my recent buys!

Today I am Dreaming Of…Motos!

What: With several friends discussing trips to Vietnam in the works, it took me back to death defying trips around the villages and cities with local Vietnamese drivers… What a Way to feel alive!

When: Gap Adventures 21 day tour of Cambodia and Vietnam – January 2009

Where: Chao Doc (The first terrifying ride), HCMC (super scary! But fun!), Hoi An (I’m a pro), Hue (3 hour moto tour), Hanoi (Look mum, no hands!)

Who: The usual travel buddy, new buddies and many local drivers!
