Favourite Things… December 2014

Here are some of my favourite things at the moment!

I bought two of these Candleworks Australia soy candles a few weeks ago, wild pear and chilled sangria. The chilled sangria is currently burning in my bedroom and the smell is divine! And unlike some other candles, they actually release a scent while burning. And… who doesn’t love some chilled sangria for summer!

Needed some new knickers so hit up Best and Less and got these cotton leopard print babies. I really like sleeping in cotton underpants. They were part of their ‘2 for $12’ deal too.

I have seen these dip and twist nail polish removal pots before, and even how to make your own on beauty blogs. I saw these little pots in K Mart for $4 so decided to try them. Amazing! Super fast! No more messy nails.

You know when you are looking for Christmas gifts for others and you just end up shopping for yourself. That’s what happened when  I went into Big W and saw this cute little $5.00 cat ring holder. Perfect for an engagement ring! Oh, and cats! Sold!

Loving bird print at the moment, like this headband and a navy and dusk pink hair clip I got at Woolworths of all places, that also doubles as a brooch. Score!

Met the delightful Zoe Foster-Blake at her pop up store for her new beauty line Go-To Skincare. I already have the ‘very useful face cream’ and just bought the ‘exceptionoil’ and ‘lips!’ lip balm. Can’t wait to try them!

Confession time… I’m obsessed with stationery. I literally cannot stop myself from buying novelty paper clips. Stars, love hearts, numbers, shoes, coat hangers, giant ones… the other day I found pineapples! At $3.00 I didn’t even think twice.

I got a belated birthday gift the other day, two pairs of bright and cheerful socks from Gorman. I probably won’t wear them until its cold again, but they will definitely cheer up a grey day.

My first Christmas present for 2014 was this fluorescent yellow and gold bracelet with a tassel from Seed Heritage Jewellery. Cute!

Again, Christmas shopping led me to try on and purchase this stretch body con skirt from Best and Less. Because you know… palm trees! Plus under $10. Bar-gain.
